Escaping Babylon: History and Therapeutic Effects of Music at the Rainbow Gatherings
Jonssonová, Noemi ; Ženíšek, Jakub (advisor) ; Higgins, Bernadette (referee)
This work examines how art as therapy is used and works at Rainbow Gatherings. I accomplish this by closely studying literature directly and loosely concerned with both topics, conducted interviews with several Rainbow attendees, and personal experience having taken part in several Gatherings and their varieties. Firstly, I briefly introduce the theoretical groundwork and history of art as therapy, the process, and the motivation behind the sublimation in art. Then, I also introduce the movement of Rainbow Family of Living Light, their origins, and the practices of the intentional community. After that, I delve into what Babylon means, and how it is one of the main drives for their form of counterculture. In the next chapters, I explain the main characteristics of Rainbow music and how it relates to and can be categorized under the theory of art as therapy, which is the aim of this thesis. I prove how their use of music is therapeutic for neurosis which is possibly also induced by the Babylon system which the Rainbow strives to contradict to some extent. Therefore the Rainbow Gatherings serve as an antidote and a way of sublimation for neurosis. Keywords Rainbow Gatherings, Babylon, art therapy, music therapy, sublimation, neurosis, collective suffering
Translation of selected lexical units using machine translation tools.
SRBA, Jaroslav
The present Master thesis deals with the translation of selected lexical units by tool- supporting machine translation. The aim of this study is, on one hand, to identify the limit of the effectiveness of translations of phraseological units, which meaning is associated with diverse parts of the human body. On the other hand, to determine the efficiency of the system as a supporting learning tool for the study of the Spanish language. The first part, the Theoretical Framework, includes a brief introduction of the history of machine translation as well as the selected translators in the investigation. Additionally, this part encloses the theory of phraseology, the corpus that provides the base for the research, the didactical proposal, and the problematical issues of teaching somatic phraseology to students of the Spanish language. The second part, the Methodology, is focused on the translation of selected phraseology by Bing Microsoft Translate, Babylon, My Memory and Google Translate. At the end of the thesis, the statistics of the validity of the translation are presented.

There is also a detailed discussion on the field of demonology and some personalities of the time who were obviously dealing with magic. The first part describes all of the available magical disciplines and techniques that a mortal can come into contact with during the Second Temple in the region known as "Fertile Crescent". All the disciplines I mention in my work were already known at the time of the Second Temple, but some of them were not that developed, so they were expanded or were elaborated on in a later period.
